Waitrose Food Illustrated gets a makeover

In the week it lost out in the Twitter poll by Quadrille Food for Best Food Publication to newbie Fire & Knives, the publishers of Waitrose Food Illustrated have just announced a new direction for the magazine.

A press release by WFI’s publisher, John Brown, says that from April the magazine’s name and remit will both be changed. According to them, the new-look Waitrose Kitchen will be a ‘fresh and modern food bible full of passion and practical cookery inspiration for all occasions’.

'All great magazine brands evolve,' a spokesperson for the magazine said, 'and after a decade of success it was time to move on. We're sure Waitrose Kitchen will quickly become the best-loved food title around.'

Hot Dinners was told by the magazine today that William Sitwell will stay on as Editor, although by strange coincidence his Twitter account seems to have disappeared. If Sitwell decides to leave, he can always fall back on his waiting skills. We hear his efforts at serving guests at new London supperclub The Hart & Fuggle were exemplary!
