TwoRuba all day bar and restaurant comes to Tower Bridge

tworubaWill this major relaunch of a hotel restaurant and bar succeed in appealing to both Borough foodies and City folk? We'll have to wait and see.

Here's what you need to know about TwoRuba

They have spent a LOT of money on it. £500k has been blown doing out this bar at the Hilton London Tower Bridge.

There's plenty of gin on the menu: There'll be an extensive list of independent London and Bermondsey Dry Gin cocktails on offer.

The food will be inspired by nearby Borough Market: As you might imagine from any new all day venue in London there's the ubiquitous sharing platters and grazing dishes. The Elements of the Borough menu includes pulled pork sliders with chili apple slaw, wings of fire with fennel salsa and piripiri dip, chorizo focaccia with aioli and flash fried king prawns with garlic yuzu emulsion.

Other menu dishes could be:

  • Bruchetta, wild mushroom, parmesan and truffle oil
  • Salt and Pepper Squid, Lime Crème fraiche Ruba Fish Tacos, pico de gallo Citrus dressing
  • Pineapple Carpaccio, coconut jelly mirin toasted cashews

It'll be great for groups: The Snug is described as "lavish yet relaxed gentlemen’s club feel" and can be booked by groups of up to 20 people.

TwoRuba Bar is located at Hilton London Tower Bridge, 5 More London Place, Tooley Street, London, SE1 2BY. Opening hours are 7.00 a.m. until 2.00 a.m. Monday to Friday, and 10.00 a.m. until 1.00am on Saturdays and Sundays. For more information visit https://www.facebook.com/TwoRuba
