Britain’s obsession with the burger is now official, with Tuesday 27th August being christened the nation’s first National Burger Day. Brainchild of Mr Hyde, the daily men’s lifestyle email, over 160 restaurants across the country are taking part, offering a 20% discount on burgers for one day only.
As part of the celebrations, ice-cream specialist Sorbitium have created a burger flavoured ice-cream which will be available at the National burger Day Tweet Up at Dalston Yard. We can’t wait to try it but If you prefer your burger flavours delivered in a more traditional way then fear not as MEATliquor, Dirty Burger and Byron amongst many others will all be on hand to satisfy your cravings.
Tickets to the event are now sold out but you can still take part by popping into your favourite burger joint on Tuesday and celebrating how far we’ve come with the humble burger.
