Red's True BBQ prepares for opening with a residency at The Olde Blue

There's much anticipation about the arrival of another BBQ joint, Red's, which is coming to Shoreditch in July. But if you can't wait until then to try one of their mammoth creations, then get along to the advance pop-up/residency that's kicking off this week at The Olde Blue Last (also on Great Eastern Street). 

The special menu includes: 

  • 3 meats and a side for £10 (includes pulled pork, brisket, burnt ends, ribs) 
  • Red's pulled pork sandwich: pulled pork, slaw, Unholy BBQ sauce (£6)
  • The Pitmaster (in the pic above): Brisket, cheese & jalapeño smoked sausage, pulled pork, slaw, fresh jalapeño, fried pickle (£10)

Plus - each weekend, there will be a special for £10 (all inspired by their annual US "Pilgrimage"):

  • Pulled meat frito pie: Nachos, pulled meat, salsa, sour cream, grated cheese, fresh jalapeños, Unholy BBQ sauce  
  • Hot mess with Black Angus brisket chili: Salt crusted sweet potato, brisket chili, grated cheese, peppered bacon, chipotle sour create, fresh chili 
  • Smokes Texas hot link hoagie: Housemade Texas sausage, BBQ Pit Beans, con queso, crispy onions, ballpark mustard 
  • 8hr smoked beef rib: Huge tender Jacob’s Ladder rib slathered in a raspberry chipotle BBQ sauce
