The Sunday Times today released its list of Britain's Top 100 restaurants as compiled by Hardens. 52 London restaurants made the cut - up a few from last year but down from the 60 restaurants that made the list two years ago. 'The capital cannot claim exclusive rights to gastronomic superiority' runs the supplement's editorial.
A quick look at the London places that made the top 50 certainly shows a bias towards fine dining, although it's heartening that two of the five cheapest places on the Top 100 list are from London (Hampstead's Jin Kichi and Dinings).
