Isabel opens in Mayfair from Casa Cruz's Juan Santa Cruz

What: Isabel

In a nutshell: High-end glamour in Mayfair.

Summing it all up: The man behind Casa Cruz in Notting Hill, Juan Santa Cruz, has come into Mayfair with this small plates affair that's VERY glam.

The low-down

Having opened Casa Cruz in Notting Hill in 2015, designer Juan Santa Cruz is now bringing some of his glamour to Notting Hill. Expect this restaurant to be very glam, all the staff are wearing Colombian designer Johanna Ortiz, taking over the space that used to hold Sumosan.

There are two floors of eating and drinking with an Art Deco inspired design, with what is apparently a "seventies" vibe. And across those, it's a small plates affair - modern European food with some Argentinean influences. And apparently the Santa Cruz praised blackened chicken makes an appearance.

Downstairs is the bar and dancefloor, with DJs after 10pm. And apparently it's already been attracting celebs - so expect this to be a place to be seen in.
