Honky Tonk's American diner with live music comes to Clapham

Honky Tonk's American diner with live music comes to ClaphamAfter success in Chelsea, Honky Tonk (set up by supperclub's Mark Cutler) is heading south for its second venue to Clapham.

It's been a year since the original opened and like the original, the Clapham Honky Tonk will be focused around live music - particularly blues, jazz and rockabilly (in the spirit of the US honky tonk bars). Honky Tonk will have a separate bar and restaurant overlooking Clapham Common with some outside dining and drinking spaces available too.

If you fancy dining in secret, there's a private dining room that's only accessible through a secret door in a wardrobe. And there's another private table with a difference behind the stage "where guests will be able to spin an oversized Wheel of Fortune to win prizes every evening."

Like the original in Chelsea, it will serve US inspired diner/deli food like beef or pork ribs, mac ‘n’ cheese with porcini béchamel and brisket roll. There will also be some smaller dishes like meatballs, welsh rarebit with black truffle, crab cakes and cobb salad. Drinks-wise, there will be various bourbons on offer plus a pickleback shot made with Buffalo Trace bourbon and pickle brine, an aged-in-barrel Sazerac and their Maple Trace (bourbon sweetened with cinnamon and maple syrup).

Honky Tonk opens in Spetember at 16A Clapham South Side London SW4 7AB.
