Here's a great idea for London bosses, guaranteed to turn sweltering office slaves into your adoring minions - gelato delivered to your door. From today, Gelupo, Soho’s award-winning gelateria, will be offering Londoners same-day delivery on any of their fabulous daily flavours if you order online before 5pm. It's also a pretty nifty idea if you're looking for an effort-free but impressive dessert for dinner tonight. We couldn't decide between burnt caramel gelato, chocolate sorbet or sour cherry granita so we'll have to man up and work our way through their list. Better still, if you want to make a real feast of it, you can pop in a bottle of grappa, some salame or amaretti biscuits from their online deli selection.

Gelato-by-post isn't the only new offering from Gelupo. They'll also be setting up a temporary home in Harvey Nicks for six weeks from 22nd May to 3 July as part of the Fifth Floor Taste Lab. The full menu isn't available yet, but we did hear there'd be frozen alcoholic slush puppies - the Gimlet Granita with frozen Hendricks gin, lime and soda sounds great.
