As longstanding local customers to N5 Kitchen in Highbury, we can personally attest to the happiness that Clerkenwell workers and residents are going to feel when they open there this month. The catering company and cafe have built up a solid business in North London with their breakfasts and lunches, which are great for anyone working from home. Now they're hoping that EC1 folk will fall in love with their offering too.
The duo behind it, founders Milly Wilson and Suzie Bliss, already cater for fashion companies like Jimmy Choo and Mulberry, and decided to open out that amazing food to serve folk close to their kitchen off Blackstock Road. Those same tasty lunches, salads and cakes (by head baker Sarah Fox who's on our Murphia List) are going to be making the move to Clerkenwell where their new cafe can be found just off St John Street.
One thing they're also bringing is the idea of a free treat at the end of the working week. In Highbury anyone ordering lunch on Friday gets a free seasonally flavoured doughnut. In Clerkenwell this will switch to Cookies on the House, with a free cookie for every lunch order on a Friday.
And to get things going with a bang, they'll be hosting a free picnic on nearby Spa Fields on 18 June. All you need to do is sign up to say you're coming to get your hands on a free lunch and cookies.
