If you love the idea of trying new baked goods, but are a wee bit on the lazy side in terms of travelling across London to get them, then the coming month will see four hot London bakeries descending on Highbury.
Highbury Barn coffee shop Profile is welcoming in a different guest bakery every weekend in June, with some of the hottest bakers in town getting involved. They're promising "a rotating selection of pastries, bakes, and special releases".
The four bakeries involved are Walthamstow's Suba (6/7 June), Hackney's Forno (13/14 June), roaming bakery Tabula (20/21 June) and Highgate's Tarn Bakery (27/28 June). And the list of pastries they're bringing with them sounds amazing, including:
- Mango passion fruit coconut danish
- Pistachio pain suisse
- Amalfi lemon curd bun
- Peach Earl Grey cookie
- Miso chilli tomato focaccia slice
- Oxtail strawberry scotch bonnet croissant
- Pandan shiso strawberry cake slice
It's a great idea and lovely to see so many interesting bakeries featured. Put those dates in your diary, because we predict the bakes will sell out early each day.
