Aldi are opening a bottomless pigs in blankets pop-up restaurant in Islington

24/11/23 - updated with new pics

Like many people, one of the things we love about Christmas is the return of pigs in blankets. If, like us, you think you can eat an awful lot of them, Aldi is about to put that to the test. For two days only, they're launching a bottomless pigs in blankets restaurant.

Set in Islington's Camden Passage, there's a six-course menu and it will only cost a fiver, with proceeds donated to Neighbourly.

On that menu will be:

  • Traditional pigs in blankets
  • Plant-based pigs in blankets (no-pork sausages and vegan bacon)
  • Caramelised onion chipolatas wrapped in bacon
  • Brie and cranberry candy cane pigs in blankets
  • Giant Yorkshire pudding pig in blankets
  • Festive pigs in blankets wood-fired sourdough pizza

Alongside that, there will be unlimited Butcher’s Select Pigs in Blankets and Specially Selected Pigs in Blankets Handcooked Crisps. And they're not stopping there - there's also a "Press for PIBs" button that will start the whole menu all over again.

Plus, just for the event, they've also cooked up what they say is the world's biggest pig in blanket (see below).

So if you really think you could eat pigs in blankets all day long - this challenge is for you.
