Something that will be very handy for the people that work in the area (particularly the huge Penguin HQ), Sven Hanson Britt's Oxeye is branching out with a new sandwich hatch in Nine Elms.
The Sandwich Shack is a new hatch opening from Oxeye's Bar Rex and they'll be serving up a menu of six sandwiches, which will change regularly. On the menu at the moment is:
- Chilli Tuna Cheese - Tuna mayo with tabasco, pickled peppers and Montgomery cheddar (£7)
- Katsu Sando - Chicken breast/pumpkin katsu, yuzu kosho slaw, shokupan bread (£7)
- Pambazo - A Mexican sandwich stuffed with chorizo fried potatoes, sour cream, lettuce and guajillo chile salsa (£10)
- Slow Roast Duck Wrap - 5-spiced duck legs slow-cooked and wrapped with charred spring onion, pickled cucumber and chilli (£10)
So if you're in the area and in need of a lunchtime snack, then it'll be well worth popping by.
