Kinoya are bringing their ramen from Dubai to Harrods in London

A Dubai ramen restaurant feted by both Michelin and the World's 50 Best Restaurants list is coming to London. Kinoya Ramen was this year marked as the One To Watch on the Middle Eastern and North Africa iteration of the 50 Best List. They said "the effect it has had on the Dubai dining scene in its fledgling stage has been profound".

The izakaya-style restaurant will open at Harrods next spring, so we did a little digging to find out what you could expect.

Behind Kinoya is Chef-owner Neha Mishra - a self-trained chef who ran a hugely popular supper club in Dubai before opening Kinoya at The Onyx Tower 2. The menu focuses on five key ramens but also serves up sushi and dishes from the robata grill.

"The cooking is careful, prices, low and flavours, delicious," said Michelin when they awarded the restaurant a Bib Gourmand this year. Kinoya's signature dish is their Shio Paitan ramen, Mishra's take on Shio ramen which uses a creamy, dense chicken broth with burned garlic oil on top and noodles made fresh in-house.

According to Ashley Saxton, general manager of restaurants at Harrods, who confirmed the opening to The National newspaper, "the restaurant will offer our customers a celebration of Japanese food and culture through its authentic ramen and izakaya cuisine".
