St Patricks day party london

This week sees Covent Garden’s premier steakhouse Smith & Wollensky, host the ultimate St Patrick’s Day party, featuring delicious grass-fed Irish beef, the finest Irish produce and an exciting list of Slane Irish whiskey cocktails alongside live music from a stomping five-piece Irish band. It's the perfect backdrop for some amazing food and some proper craic!

Smith & Wollensky's renowned Executive Chef, Tom Cook, will be carving up some fantastic cuts of grass-fed Irish beef from a dedicated beef carving station. Plus, even more Irish delicacies will be available on the night, from Carlingford Oysters, O’Hara’s Irish Stout, Five Farms Cream Liquor and award winning Irish farmhouse cheeses including; Cashel Blue, Crozier Blue, St Tola and Durrus.

Executive Chef, Tom Cook, explained why he uses grass-fed Irish beef at Smith & Wollensky: “Irish beef offers some of the most consistent steaks we can find, there’s a nice marbling always throughout the beef, and a lovely tenderness.

“It all starts in the fields in Ireland with the cows eating the lush green grass and living in a clean environment. I recently visited Ireland and I saw first-hand the cattle grazing on the grassy pastures, and the dedication, care, and attention from the Irish farmers. This all comes through in the steaks we put on the table at Smith & Wollensky. They are always very meaty and juicy, and our customers love them, we always get really positive feedback."

Smith & Wollensky has become synonymous with premium quality steaks in London. The restaurant holds an in-house butchery, and a team of dedicated butchers and chefs who prepare only the best steaks for the London restaurant scene. When it comes to Irish beef, premium Irish fillet and 28 day dry-aged Irish rib eye are some of the most popular cuts amongst clientele. The showpiece is an impressive, swinging 28 day dry-aged Irish Tomahawk; at 900g, it is accompanied by roasted garlic and rosemary potatoes – it’s the perfect dish to share.
