If layers of flaky pastry are your thing, then you'll be wanting to know about Criss Cross. Opening in Soho this month, this new cafe and shop is devoted to one thing and one thing only - the croissant.

They'll be selling gorgeous looking savoury and sweet pastries. The team behind it are hospitality folk connected to Novikov and Mnky Hse including Criss Cross's chef Roberto Guzzi who also heads up the patisserie section at Mayfair's Novikov and creative director Boris Kofman co-founder of Mnky Hse, although this is an independent venture.

Croissant options include:

  • Strawberry gel and vanilla cream
  • Yuzu curd with black sesame praline
  • Pecan frangipane with vanilla cream
  • Whisky and soy curred salmon with cashew cream and seaweed
  • Four cheese and black truffle
