Getting into the delivery business with something that looks pretty special is Victor Garvey's Californian restaurant in Soho, SOLA. That restaurant is mainly all about its tasting menus, so the delivery service is trying to get as close to that as possible - and it's doing that with BENTŌ by SOLA.
There will be two boxes - the five-course version (£69) or the 10-course tasting menu (£109) - all presented in a pretty beautiful bento box. No heating is required here - everything can be eaten as it comes. Sections of the box include:
- Torched Mackerel with Kohlrabi
- Warm Tatin of Hubert’s Tomatoes
- Squab Pigeon with White Peach, Togarashi Jus and Roasted Sand Carrot
- Pistachio Bavarois or Chocolate Crémeux for dessert (both if you're choosing the 10-course box)
We also love the idea that there's a wine pairing option - served in 100ml bottles to go alongside the courses.
