What: The Ivy Victoria
In a nutshell: Caprice Holdings expand to Victoria
Summing it all up: The Ivy Collection's latest addition to its 36-strong restaurant emporium will be a 292-seater restaurant and bar called The Ivy Victoria,
London’s Victoria business district will be graced with a new dining space next winter and it’s the latest from the Ivy Collection: a restaurant and bar called, perhaps unsurprisingly, The Ivy Victoria. Open from dawn to dusk, seven days a week, the 292-seater venue promises intriguing interiors inspired by the railway, Buckingham Palace, the theatre and Victorian London.
Baton Berisha, Managing Director at The Ivy Collection says:
“Victoria has fantastic transport links and we hope to provide an exciting yet relaxed environment for local professionals, theatre goers, shoppers and families and friends to enjoy.”
The Ivy Victoria will also offer an upstairs bar for the after-work crowd, with cocktails, entertainment and DJs. Diners can also retreat to an al fresco terrace, for soothing greenery and foliage, as well as heaters to keep them happy outdoors year-round. There’s also a 20-seater private dining space for functions and special occasions.
And the menu? It’s overseen by head chef Katie Burke and runs the gamut of modern British classics with a few international influences thrown in. Initial temptations include:
- White onion soup with onion Lyonnaise
- Truffle mascarpone and toasted brioche
- Lemon sole on the bone with beurre noisette, lemon, caper and parsley
- Malted banana ice cream with chocolate brownie, caramelised banana, candied pecans and cocoa nib tuile
The Ivy Victoria takes over the premises that was previously Jamie’s Italian Victoria, which closed when Jamie Oliver’s restaurant chain when into administration in May 2019.
