What: Jones & Sons
In a nutshell: Dalston fave comes to Angel
Summing it all up: With five years of success in Dalston under their belt, it's now time for Jones & Sons to expand. They're coming to Angel - you can expect a damned good Sunday lunch and more...
The low-down
After getting a loyal following in Dalston over the past five years, Jones & Sons is expanding - they're coming to Angel with their second restaurant.
If you're familiar with the original, you can expect more of the same in Angel - that's British cooking with local and seasonal produce. And the head chef from Dalston, Kieran Hope will be moving to the Islington restaurant too (he's previously been at Bistrotheque, Hix and more).
The menu will change regularly and, as with the original, brunch and Sunday lunch will be a big deal (they've won prizes for their Sunday roast). Dishes will include:
- Honey miso cod, apple Dashi, Smoked Leek, Cucumber, Shiso
- Baked Truffle Polenta, Wild Mushrooms, Parsnip Puree and Crisps
- Seared Scallops, Oyster Emulsion, Caviar, Pickled Shallots
- Sole Ceviche Vodka, Hibiscus, Avocado, Sorrel
As for the restaurant itself, it will seat around 70 - but we're most interested in the private balcony (which will seat an extra 24).
