Tom Aikens closes his Chelsea restaurant for a summer revamp

Seizing his chance as the denizens of Chelsea decamp en masse for their villas and yachts, chef Tom Aikens is closing his restaurant on Elystan Street, SW3 for the summer. While the doors are closed, Aikens is bringing in Turkish designer, Hakan Ezer for a full redesign of the restaurant. Apparently Tom's 'planning a completely new look for the restaurant, emphasising a more informal ambience'.

Tom Aikens Restaurant will reopen in early October 2011 with a new look and some new menus, to boot.
