Mayfair

Rishim Sachdeva's Tendril has found a permanent home in Mayfair, so we thought it was time to see what this "almost vegan" kitchen is all about.

Two years after designer Roland Mouret cleared out his boutique and went into administration it looks like his former HQ in Mayfair is getting a new lease of life.

Paris Society who are behind Louie in London and glitzy spots like Girafe and CoCo in Paris look to be opening a restaurant there that will take over the whole building.

Plans for the four-floor space that we've seen include a

They've had lots of success with the very viral cube croissants from Le Deli Robuchon, but nearby Comptoir Robuchon in Mayfair hasn't been quite as much of a hit for the same group. So they're changing things up and making it L'Atelier Robuchon instead.

The last L'Atelier Robuchon in London closed in 2019, soon after the chef's death the previous year and this one will be harking back to

How best to celebrate your 15th birthday? Well, if you're Angela Hartnett's Michelin-starred restaurant Murano then you give yourself a bit of time off for a makeover.

Hartnett's Mayfair restaurant will close for three weeks over August and September before returning with a new look and a new head chef. George Ormond has just taken over the kitchen here from Emily Brightman, having worked alongside her for the

Jason Atherton is a very busy man at the moment, and is really establishing himself in Mayfair right now.

Not only is he getting ready to open a restaurant on Savile Row very soon, but he's also getting ready to open one on Bruton Place which

Tom Sellers' second restaurant opening of 2023 sees him opening a grand restaurant in Mayfair's hippest new hotel. We head down to see what the Michelin-starred chef has cooked up.

Yannick Alléno is a hugely influential chef in France with multiple Michelin stars to his name. Pavyllon sees him bringing his cooking to London - we went down to try it out.

You couldn't really get more of a prime London spot to open a restaurant than the corner of Piccadilly and Berkeley Street, so Tom Sellers has chosen well for his next venture. The chef behind two Michelin-starred Restaurant Story, is opening Dovetale at the upcoming 1 Hotel Mayfair. It's the hotel group's first UK hotel and they say it's going to

Rishim Sachdeva has been popping up with his Tendril restaurant in a couple of spaces, but now he's getting ready to launch the restaurant in its permanent home.

He describes the restaurant as "mostly vegan" and that's coming through in the new name - Tendril (mostly) Vegan Kitchen & Bar. The permanent

You know it's definitely summer when The Dorchester reopens its rooftop bar. This year the space will bring the English country garden vibes and serve up an all-day brunch menu by the hotel's culinary director Martyn Nail (ex-Claridge's).

Brunch, Dorchester-style, means dishes like caviar, oysters and fruit de mer, grilled Cornish lobster fregola, côte de boeuf and truffle

After 18 months closure, Claridge's has a new restaurant called... Claridges Restaurant. We were first in the door to look at the new room and try the new menu.

Last year, the launch of Anya Cafe's ice cream pop-up from Anya Hindmarch caused a bit of a stir. Rather than use plain old flavours like vanilla, they had mayonnaise, ketchup and even Lee and Perrins Worcestershire sauce.

Well, it proved to be something of a hit (TikTok certainly helped) and now they're back with another helping for

It's been almost eighteen months since Claridge's hotel in Mayfair closed their Davies and Brook restaurant following a disagreement with chef Daniel Humm over the direction it was going in (he wanted to go fully vegan, they weren't so sure). Now, very quietly, the hotel has reopened their signature restaurant space.

In charge of things as Head Chef is Coalin Finn. He's was at Davies & Brook as

We've known for some time that multi-Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alleno was opening a top-tier restuarant, Pavyllon, in London (they're apparently deep in soft opening mode right now). But news that he's also going to be running a bar alongside that surprisedlu us today.

Bar Antoine, named after the chef's late son, sounds like it might be just the place to try some of Alleno's cooking, without the

The Grill at The Dorchester has had a light rebrand to The Grill by Tom Booton, to showcase their star chef. We went down to see just what the grill is cooking up right now.
