Londoners prepare yourself - hitting Shaftesbury Avenue this month is what promises to be the perfect fusion between two of the city's current food obsessions - burger and bao. Pho & Bun is the brainchild of Holborn restaurant Viet Eat's owner Andy Le. The new Vietnamese spot will focus on Pho and their steamed milky bun burger.

First there were banh-mi. Then there were bao. Now there are folds - the latest south east Asian street food trend to hit the streets of London. A new Vietnamese restaurant - aptly titled FOLD - opens in Brick Lane later this month, based all around food you can fold. Traditionally known as the summer roll, the gluten free rice paper can be folded round a variety of fillings before being steamed, grilled or fried.

Wardour Street is hotting up and the arrival of Vietfood sounds like just the ticket. It's a new restaurant from Michelin-starred chef Jeff Tan who was the Head Chef at Hakkasan Mayfair for its first three years.

The two floor restaurant will focus on the streetfood side of Vietnamese cuisine - so there'll be bowls of Pho or Bun - made from sixteen hour simmered bone marrow stock or chicken broth - choose from fillet steak with garlic Hainan style or maybe spicy
