A new restaurant is on the way to London, coming from Fah Sundravorakul, who used to own restaurants in Thailand. He's bringing a hot pot restaurant to Chinatown.

Obviously, expect a big focus on hot pots. That's a pot of stock which will be sunk into the table and used to cook all manner of ingredients. 

And there will be several broths to put in that pot. They will be:

Well here's a pub opening we're pretty darned excited about. The Hour Glass pub is getting two new owners - Luke Mackay and David Turcan, who currently run Brompton Food Market. And if the food offering at the pub turns out to be anything like the stuff we've had from their deli then this might be worth crossing town for.

Luke has form for taking on pubs and turning them into something special, having already done this with well regarded country pub The Royal Oak

The folk behind the award-winning gastopub The Truscott Arms are branching out, opening a wine bar in Belsize Park. The Truscott Cellar, which opens in June, will be a modern wine bar with food by their chef at The Truscott Arms Aidan McGee. The 60 seat bar is being designed by Michel Schranz Design and Architecture and will be on two floors.

So, we've been waiting patiently to hear what Bocca di Lupo owners Jacob Kenedy and Victor Hugo were going to open at Cambridge Circus, and this week we've been rewarded with details of what will be called Vico.

They're already big in Covent Garden and now Homeslice are on the way to Fitzrovia with their second restaurant. 

This time they're going a bit bigger as the new place will seat 120 and they'll have a dedicated takeaway space - which will be handy if you're working in the area. Otherwise expect a cocktail bar, counter seating and a big wood fired oven in the middle of the restaurant.

There's been a lot of chatter about it, but now we can bring you the full details about The Good Egg which is opening in Stoke Newington this summer.

You may have swung by one of their market stalls, or eaten at one of their pop-ups, but now The Good Egg is making the move to permanent premises with an all-day neighbourhood restaurant on Stoke Newington Church Street.

It seems that hot dogs are still a big thing as a new hot dog restaurant is coming very soon to Camden - and has plans to expand further too.

So what can you expect from this new addition to the hot dog scene? First, everything is based around a choice of a pork, beef or veggie dog and then you can build your own with their toppings or choose from one of their creations. They include:

Having opened as 64 degrees last year, the restaurant space at the Artist Residence hotel has undergone a total change of look, menu and chef. There are changes afoot at the Old Vic which is getting a bit of a refurb at the moment, and part of that means a change to the Pit Bar next door. It's being revamped into a new all-day cafe to be run by Julian Porter and Lauren Johns - who are behind the very popular Milk (which is going through its own changes at the moment).

From bread and wine to beef and beef - Kentish Town has a new restaurant on the way. Beef & Brew is taking over the former Pane Vino site on Kentish Town Road.
