Now, THIS is what you need in hot weather. Forget about normal eclairs, you'll be wanting ICEclairs. These are coming to the patisserie shop Melba that's part of the Savoy hotel. They've been created by the Savoy’s executive pastry chef, Ludwig Hely and are, yes, ice-cream filled eclairs. 

You can pick which ice cream you want - including pure dark chocolate, Sicilian pistachio, salted caramel and wild berries.

This new ice-cream spot in Covent Garden is brought to you by the couple who did Nice Ice shaved Japanese ice. They're serving up three types of soft serve - vanilla, matcha and hojicha (green tea). Oh and they're putting it on a whole heap of candyfloss.

Summer is nearly here, so it seems the right time to be announcing the opening of a new ice-cream parlour. Popular Tufnell park ice-cream purveyors Ruby Violet are going to be opening their second place in King's Cross later this month.

The new parlour and cafe will be in the Midland Goods Shed, just off Granary Square. As with their first shop, the fittings and furniture have come from around the world. The centre of the cafe will feature a huge slab of wood
