Terroirs and Brawn team to take over the Green Man and French Horn on St Martin's Lane

greenman[Updated 12/9/12 with opening date and more menu details]

Big news from the team behind Terroirs, Brawn and Soif - Hot Dinners hears that their next restaurant will be taking over the Green Man & French Horn pub on St Martin's Lane.

They'll be keeping the name and as per their other spots, there'll be a distinctly French influence on the food and drink, this time focusing on the greater Loire region. What'll be different from the first three is that the Green Man & French Horn will also have a seafood menu section.

Update: We've just learned that The Green Man & French Horn will be opening on 24th September and they will be taking reservations from next week (we'll bring you that number when we have it). The restaurant will have 60 covers (including 10 seats at the bar).

As expected, the food and wine will be inspired by the thousands of kilometres covered by the Loire river. There will be a bigger emphasis on fish and seafood, as well as charcuterie and cheese. And we hear that owners Ed Wilson and Oli Barker are working with about 200 winemakers and will feature 100 producers at any one time on the wine list, which will be divided by growers. Great news for wine lovers!

Perhaps most interesting of all is the fact that executive chef and co-owner Ed Wilson has decided to base himself in the kitchen here.

The Green Man & French Horn will open on September 24 from 12pm-11pm (Monday to Saturday) and then 12-4pm on Sundays.
