If you're bored of the usual bars and looking for somewhere extraordinary to take a pre-prandial drink this weekend, you might want to take a wander down Tooley Street. Eagle-eyed denizens of London Bridge may have noticed the Skyroom balancing precariously over the edge of the fifth floor of Magdalen House at 148 Tooley Street.
Magdelen House, it transpires, is the headquarters of the Architecture Foundation and it was the building's landlord who commissioned this fantastic structure offering drinkers brilliant views across the city. It's usually only open for private functions but is opening to the general public for a limited time only this Christmas.
Tim Robinson, mixologist for catering company Twist London, has come up with a cocktail list to take the edge of the winter chill. We rather liked the sound of the winter punch with Courvoisier, rum, honey, winter spices and the Christmas Pudding Shots.
The Skyroom is open between 5pm and 10pm on the following dates:
