London's burgers and a Clerkenwell pop-up

This week Twitter has been groaning with critics and bloggers being very gloomy indeed about the state of London’s burger joints. But lo – there is light on the horizon with news in this week’s Time magazine that popular burger purveyor Shake Shack may be coming our way. Hot Dinners has been to their Madison Square Park venue and can vouch for these stateside sliders.

Are you there Moriarty?
Don’t teach your grandmother to suck eggs, take her instead to new Clerkenwell pop-up the Parlour which opens today (March 5th- March 10th). Grandparents get a cut-price cupcake while you’ll have to fork out a fiver for the privilege. Time your visit right and you might be there for parlour games or a letter-writing workshop.

L'Anima pop-up
The restaurant boom continues in the City with Bloomberg’s Richard Vines revealing that such is L'Anima’s popularity that they’ll be closing for five weeks in August to expand the number of people they can serve. On the plus side, chef Francesco Mazzei will keep diners happy by opening a London pop-up while the restaurant is closed.

And finally...This Sunday (7 March ) sees the start of regular monthly Psychic Sundays at Profile Soho on Wardour Street. Find out where you’ll be eating next week by consulting their resident tarot psychic Mystic Marco for free between 6-9pm.
