If you've been in and around Spitalfields over the last year or so, you'll probably have noticed some big works going on, on Lamb Street. For the past eighteen months they've been building a street for housing a whole load of new food traders and they're just unveiling the results now.
In total, there are eight new places for workers and visitors to try out, some of which have moved from street trucks to a permanent space for the first time and one that's marking its first opening in the UK.
Here's our guide to what to check out:
- Pizza Guys – this young Neapolitan company is opening its first London branch at Spitalfields
- Rudies Jerk Shack – they've got shacks across London markets serving their jerk burgers but this will be their first standalone store
- Dos Mas Tacos – birria tacos, loaded nachos and more
- Ebby’s Kitchen – homemade Turkish street food
- Duck Truck – this is also the first permanent spot for the popular duck wraps and burgers vendors
- Smokoloko – their distinctive loco stalls have long been a mainstay of Spitalfields and this is their first permanent space
- Wicked Fish – ethically sourced, gluten-free fish and chips
- I-Thai – soup noodles, pad thai and Thai chicken popcorn vendors
