Estelle Manor is the latest Cotswolds opening to entice Londoners out of the city

A few weeks back we brought you news of Aynho Park, a frankly epic undertaking opening in the Cotswolds with five new restaurants. Now we're back with details of a new place to entice Londoners out of the city, Estelle Manor. Twenty miles away from Aynho you'll find this seriously swanky new country club and hotel from Sharan Pasricha who founded hospitality group Ennismore (the Hoxton and Gleneagles) and the upscale Mayfair Club Maison Estelle.

Unlike Aynho, this 3000-acre estate is somewhere you can actually stay. There are 108 bedrooms ranging from suites in the Manor House through to large self-catering houses in the grounds with wood-burning fireplaces, kitchens and freestanding baths.

Then we get to all the places you can go to eat and drink. There's a South Terrace with a pool and bar, an all-day brasserie with its own orangery serving up Oxford cheddar soufflé and Alaskan king crab. If you fancy Chinese head to The Billiards Room where we're told the dim sum and whole roast duck are served under Murano chandeliers. Finally, there's The Glasshouse in the walled garden which is all about open-fire cooking like whole turbot and roast suckling pig.

There are also two members-only sections, a private terrace/heated outdoor tent serving Japanese food and a Clubhouse where you can catch up on work, go the gym or get your hair done by top stylist George Northwood.

As all that might indicate it's not a budget sort of staycation - prices for a midweek overnight start at £650 for the standard room and rise to £2355 for a night in the Estelle Suite. But given that the Cotswolds are fast becoming London's answers to the Hamptons, that price tag probably won't put off its intended audience.
