Newish pasta spot Legare in Tower Bridge is among the many London businesses pivoting to a new way of doing business in the wake of the Covid crisis. They're now open as a collection and takeaway-only spot, with plans to offer delivery soon.
Taking a quick look at their new streamlined menu, seems there's plenty to keep SE1 residents happy. You can order ribollita, salumi platters and gorgeous-sounding sarnies (Porchetta and aioli, anyone?).
But what'll probably be their bestsellers are the cook at home pasta boxes, with everything you need to knock up an easy Italian meal at home.
Choose from:
- Pappardelle with fennel sausage and spring greens ragu
- Spaghetti and meatballs
- Pici with tomato sauce
- Ravioli with ricotta, sage and pecorino
- Cavatelli with anchovy butter, chilli and pangrattato
And if you're after the total meal experience, they'll do you a box offer of two salads, two pastas and a bottle of house wine for £50.
Obviously, social distancing rules remain in place, so if you do go out to collect a takeaway, make sure to stand 2m away from people, inside or outside a building.
