• Inspirational chef Skye Gyngell has died, aged just 62

  

  News broke yesterday of the sudden death of one of the most interesting chefs on the London and UK restaurant scene. After a short illness, having been diagnosed with a rare skin cancer last year, chef Skye Gyngell died on 22 November, "surrounded by her family and loved ones".

• Skye Gyngell's Spring shop is opening in Notting Hill

  

  Last year, we reported that chef and restaurateur Skye Gyngell was due to open another version of her Spring restaurant in the shape of a shop in Shoreditch. While that didn't come to fruition in the end, the shop is still going ahead, but this time in Notting Hill.
