New opening

Shrimoyee Chakraborty is opening a new Calcutta Street in Brixton, with a big focus on atmosphere and small sharing plates. There’ll be some new menu additions, plus bespoke cocktails made with traditional Shorbot, and a late license until 1am every night to top it all off.

The Langham Hotel is getting a new next-door tavern called The Wigmore and Michel Roux Jnr is in charge of the food.

Preservation is the name of the game at the aptly named Salt + Pickle, a new locally-owned deli and bar who'll be serving up treacle-cured salmon, homemade pastrami, and providing beers from local breweries just up the road to wash it all down.
