As with pretty much everything Hawksmoor does, news that Hawksmoor Air Street is about to launch their first bar menu is bound to create a stir.
We've had a sneak preview and are probably-more-than-is-good-for-us excited to see our beloved queenies with tartare sauce on there (£8). Which means we can score some of those addictive beauties a lot more often. Hold on, that actually might be a bad thing for our wallets.
Anyway, other items on the new menu are a brand-new item - a Brixham Crab Sandwich (£10) as well as all the dishes found on the snack section of Air Street's menu - such as soused pilchards and pickled cockles (both £4 each). There are three types of oysters - Cornish Rock and Colchester Natives to which you can add Hawksmoor sausage to for £3 extra and fried rock oysters with tartare sauce.
We also hear that some other items should find their way on to the menu as January progresses.
