International Japanese restaurant Roka’s first London opening in Charlotte Street was a huge hit, and this second London restaurant is at the Churchill Place Mall. It includes a Sochu lounge and is the first Roka to feature a Robata chef’s table. According to owner Rainer Becker, the new Roka's design is 'like a baby Zuma'. Yoshi Muranka is head chef.

This Victoria Park gastropub owes its existence to Andrew Maillard, formerly of London's premier cocktail bar Alphabet Bar.

95 Columbia Rd, Hackney, London E2 7RG

Is it a shop or a restaurant - no, it's Campania Gastronomia - a foodie hybrid, offering a few tables amid shelves of Italian products. Owners Benito Montorio and Emma Lantosca both hail from this part of Italy, so they should know what they're doing.

27 Coldharbour, Docklands, London, E14 9NS

The Gun is an ever-popular Docklands pub right by the river, now run by Fullers. It's based in a 19th Century building (it takes its name from the cannon that was fired at the opening of the West India Docks). There's a seasonal British menu on offer and ideally, you'll want to grab a table on their riverside terrace.
