Where to celebrate World Gin Day in London

ginIt's the rather wonderfully-named World Gin Day today - so here are some quick suggestions of where to celebrate it in London.

Oxford Circus
We'll be writing up our full story on Head Barman Alex Kratena's new Martinis shortly, but while we're about that, head down to the Artesian bar at the Langham Hilton for his five variations on a classic made with Tanqueray gin.

Bermondsey
Down in Bermondsey, Sparrow Gin are celebrating with a range of World Gin Day cocktails at Maltby Street market. Their mixologists have developed Waking up the World and Come Fly with Me. Sounds worth a try.

Islington
Relative newcomer The Blacksmith and Toffeemaker prides itself on its artisan gin collection - so there's everything from Sipsmith to Martin Miller's and Sacred to be had here.

Knightsbridge
The Rib Room at the Carlton has a strong selection of interesting gins which they'll knock up a cocktail with some bespoke bitters. As it's World Gin Day - you could try some lesser known international gins such as Aviation, Bluecoat or Death's Door.

South Bank
We thought the cocktails were pretty damned good on a recent visit to the newly-opened Gillray's at The Marriott in County Hall. They have 37 gins for you to work your way though, which should be sufficient.
