"But for all that, Bouchon Fourchette doesn't add much to the tradition it inhabits. You feel that – like Hackney – it could one day be spectacular, but it isn't there yet." READ REVIEW

I had a great time last week at the Bouchon Fourchette. I am French and had obviously some expectations about the food but I wasn't disappointed by the delicious Coq au Vin! The "Mum's chocolate slice" for dessert was amazing and I really appreciate the the staff who was very friendly. I will definitely come back and recommend this great restaurant to my friends.

This is a little gem.

Cozy and welcoming with friendly staff; gorgeous food (including possibly the best cheese I've ever eaten. The (French) waitress said some of it - the particularly addictive un-pasteurised, gooey, smelly one - was hard to come by even at home), and a varied wine list.

It's also excellent value, which compensates for the 10 minute, £15 cab fare to get there!

If I lived around the corner this place would be a regular haunt to hole up with a bottle of wine, some bread and cheese (at least) and a favourite person or two.

If you live nearby - or it's easily accesible on public transport - I'd highly recommend a visit.
