The Guinea Grill does Sunday lunch for the first time

The Guinea Grill does Sunday lunch for the first time

For 60 years (and particularly recently), the Guinea Grill has been best known for its weekday steaks - but it hasn't opened on a Sunday during that time. And now, taking advantage of the fact that the Queen's 90th is on the way and she was born on the same street, Sunday lunch is coming.

Seeing as Oisin Rogers is in charge of things and he's very well known for setting up great Sunday lunches elsewhere, this should be one to watch. With meat from Godfrey's, the main dish will be chateaubriand, served with duck fat roast potatoes, double yolk Yorkshire pudding, honey glazed baby carrots and baby parsnips, Swiss chard, curly kale, baby onions and bacon. They'll also have 24-hour braised lamb shoulder, sea trout and a vegetarian pithivier pie.

It all kicks off on 12 June and will be £39 or £46 for two or three courses. So clear that Sunday now.

The Guinea Grill is at 30 Bruton Place, Mayfair, London W1J 6N. Find out more about The Guinea Grill.
