London's street food markets plan Christmas festivities

kimchicultThis weekend looks to be the perfect one for street food lovers. Not only is Friday the last day of Dalston's insanely successful The Long Table, but over in Kings Cross Eat St are planning a rather festive weekend of it.

For KXmas, each of their traders is going to be putting on a Christmas menu, so you can expect Mulligatawny soup from Bhangra Burger, Creme de marrons crepes from Crep Nicolas and a warming Jamaican hot chocolate with rum from Choc Star. Best of all, Blind Pig Motel will be on site with a special Xmas bar menu including Blind Pig mulled wine, hot spiced apple cider and warm winter Pimms.

KXmas will be open 14-16 December 2011 from 11am to 3pm. It's their last market until 11 January 2012, so if you want your fix from Yum Bun or Rib Man now's the time to come down.

Finally, further south - on the South Bank itself, the Real Food Festival will be running a special Christmas market from 16-23 December 2011 and a quick look at who's there sounds like it's going to be a great place to stock up on last minute presents and larder goodies for the holidays.
