Hazraj opens in Kentish town for tiffin and chaat
Hazraj bills itself as a Chai Latte house and juice bar, but once inside the tardis-like interior it's obvious that there's quite a bit more to it than that. Open from 8am to 11pm it serves up everything from morning coffees and pastries to hot lunches and light bites. For a reasonable £5.95 you can put together tiffin boxes and they also serve up two types of the Mumbai street snack chaat, a pani puri and aloo papri chaat as well as chutney wraps and salads. The owner's family apparently have a string of Indian restaurants in town and used to own the now-closed Last Days of the Raj on Drury Lane. |
