• Tonkotsu is back, reopening Tonkotsu East in Haggerston

  

  Tonkotsu is coming back! Yes, that's right, if you've missed their excellent ramen, chicken kara-age, gyoza and so much more, then you'll soon be able to order it for delivery. They're starting with the Haggerston branch for now (which will be staffed by people who live close by), and will review how that goes before launching more branches. 

• Pret is reopening more London stores

  

  Update - more London stores are about to open. 

  After opening 10 Prets across London, they're about to launch a further 20. Opening on Friday 1 May, they'll be available on Deliveroo and Uber Eats, as well as for takeaway. So if you really need a Super Club and a coffee - here's where to go:

• Smokestak are back with a weekly barbecue extravaganza

  

  They may not be back completely, but Smokestak will be returning every Saturday for the next few weeks and they're doing it in style. After a trial run last Saturday, they'll be back every week with a menu that sees them going back to basics with old-school barbecue action.

  During Lockdown, the KFC Twitter account has been busy encouraging devotees to have a go at their own homemade fried chicken (look for the #ratemykfc hashtag). Presumably, this is to help people get over the fact that all of the KFC restaurants were closed.

  Last night, Nando's revealed to a customer that they had quietly reopened seven restaurants in the UK and Ireland - four of them in London.

• Rye by the Water returns to Brentford - and Darby's is delivering

  

  Another much-appreciated local bakery-cafe has reopened for business. This time it's the turn of Rye by the Water in Brentford, which is backed by The Dairy's Robin Gill and Dan Joines.
