A Fitzrovian gastropub gets an Antipodean makeover
Jun Tanaka is coming back with his own restaurant. Previously best known for his Pearl in Holborn and with the Street Kitchen business with Mark Jankel (which is doing very nicely) this is his long-anticipated solo restaurant and sees him taking over the space that once held
We head to Fitzrovia to try out the new restaurant from Allan Pickett, who's cooking a very impressive menu of French cuisine using British ingredients.
We never thought we'd see the day, but it does seem that healthy eating has become a bit of a trend in London of late. The latest to emerge is the next from Detox Kitchen, who are launching The Detox Kitchen Deli (previously known as Grain and Green) in October.
This is planned to be the flagship deli for Detox Kitchen, so lots of salads to take away, but they're also adding a new sharing
We head to Fitzrovia to check out the latest pub to be taken over by The Cornish Project, the classic Newman Arms on Rathbone Street.
Modern Vietnamese restaurant The House of Ho has been doing cracking business since it opened its doors two years ago. And now they've revealed plans to open a second massive flagship store - at the southern end of Charlotte Street. They'll be taking over the five floor site on Percy Street previously occupied by the Caprice Holdings restaurant Bam-Bou and will open it as The House of Ho in December.
