Freddie Janssen's Dalston cafe Snackbar has been a big hit since it opened last year, and they've continued to evolve with the pandemic, launching a Snackbar delivery service just a day after the lockdown. Now they've completely reworked that as a permanent part of the cafe - called Snackbar at Home.
It's specifically designed for those people working from home - that's most of us, then - and it's all
We head to Dalston to check out Jay Morjaria's permanent residency, JAE, at Untitled bar - where the Korean drinking food makes you want to order everything on the menu.
Dalston has itself a new pizza parlour and it looks like this might be a bit special. Gordo's comes from Jesse Elias, who has previously been the senior GM at Yard Sale in Clapton before going it alone, so he should have a fair bit of pizza know-how under his belt.
We caught up with him to find out a little bit more. "At Gordo's, we wanted to be a more traditional pizzeria on the menu but more vibey late-night space, so with the help of
His 'plant-forward' food was enough to win him a £500,000 stake on TV's Million Pound Menu. Now chef Jay Morjaria, is going to be showcasing that winning talent at his new Dalston residency, JAE.
Having popped up with JAE at various spots across London over the past year or so, this new weekend slot at Untitled will be a semi-permanent base for Morjaria running every Thursday to Saturday night.

AngloThai (John and Desiree Chantarasak) are currently in the midst of a popular residency at Newcomer Wines in Dalston (the menu looks great - it's well worth a look). But now it's about to get even better. Following on from a similar collaboration series at The Dairy, they're about to relaunch their AngloThai with Friends in Dalston.
There's a pretty impressive
While we're obviously very excited that restaurants are about to reopen, we're also just as giddy about the pubs, bars and taprooms returning across the city. And one of our favourites of the latter is definitely 40ft Brewery in Dalston. They're not only reopening their outside space, but they're also introducing a new drink to emphasise the required social distancing.

Necessity is the mother of invention and, if needing to get your bread out to eager customers who can't make it to your actual bakery isn't a necessity, then we don't know what is.
That's why Dalston-based Dusty Knuckle have come up with this wheeze - the Breadmobile. Using an old milk float, they're currently touring North and East London during the week. From the Breadmobile they're selling everything from their amazing sourdough,
During the lockdown, some new restaurants that were due to open instead kicked things off with a delivery service. One of those is Attawa in Dalston, which has a menu that's been created by Arbinder Duggal, a semi-finalist on Masterchef: The Professionals 2019.
The restaurant is run by Ravinder and Amar Madhray, a husband and wife team, and the restaurant takes
Well, this is a red-letter day for anyone who's been hankering after a Lardy Bun from Flor or the sourdough from Lyle's. We're still waiting to hear when they're returning from lockdown, but from today they'll be selling Flor pastries and the sourdough bread from Lyle's at Dalston's Snackbar.
Posting on their Instagram account, Snackbar founder Freddie said: "If you’ve ever had their bread and butter at Lyle’s, or those lardy buns from Flor,
As we now know, restaurants aren't going to return in any kind of dine-in version until July at the earliest, so there will be an increasing amount hoping to (at least temporarily) morph into an at-home service. The latest of these is Little Duck - The Picklery who have just launched Little Duck Home Kitchen.
The Dalston restaurant, from the people behind Ducksoup and Rawduck, have launched
