• Cavita is taking over the menu at Shoreditch's Seed Library for tacos and tostadas

  

  Ryan Chetiyawardana's Seed Library bar in Shoredirch has had some notably great residencies since it opened, with recent takeovers including My Neighbours The Dumplings and Norman's Café. Their next team-up looks just as good, with Cavita the next place to take over the food menu for three months.

• Wood St Bear will be DJ Simon Bear's new bar in Walthamstow

  

  After a period of closures of much-loved bars and cafes, Walthamstow is about to get a flurry of new openings this year. One place we're particularly interested in is Wood St Bear - a new bar opening on, you guessed it, Wood Street.

  It's taking over the old Wood Street Deli spot and comes from local DJ Simon Bear. Bear, who's lived in the area for 12 years, told Hot Dinners he's "rooted in this community.

• The Med-inspired Circe's Rooftop Bar takes over from Bar Elba in Waterloo

   

  Earlier this year, Waterloo rooftop venue Bar Elba closed, but that's not the end for one of the few rooftop spaces in this area. It's being reborn as Circe's.

  Taking over the rooftop of Mercury House, it comes from bar veteran Tobias Jackson. He's worked on bars like The Escapologist and Blame Gloria as part of Adventure Bar Group. As with Bar Elba,

• Warehaus is the new drinking den from a Bar with Shapes for a Name

  

  A Bar with Shapes for a Name (🔶🟥🔵) has earned a reputation for being one of the best bars in London, which occasionally makes it a little tough to grab a table/stool inside. But if you've been meaning to try their cocktails, that's about to get a lot easier as they're getting ready to open their second bar, Warehaus.

• Two Drops is a bar with cheese toasties in Battersea Power Station from the Harts Group

  

  We already knew they were bringing El Pastor to Battersea, but much like their other recent developments, the Harts Group don't just stop at one new opening. It turns out they're opening a second outpost of their Drop bar, previously seen at King's Cross, aptly called Two Drops. 

  While the original was wine-focused, the aim for this is a little wider.
