There's a new restaurant from Kurt Zdesar on the way - he's behind Chotto Matte and Black Roe - and this time he's opening an Italian restaurant with Stefano Stecca. Stecca has worked with Locatelli and Novikov and the menu will be based on recipes from his childhood (with a bit of a modern twist).
That Italian menu will have pasta handmade on-site and stone-baked pizza from a wood-fired oven. They're
Yosma is a mayhene - which means a sort of Turkish gastropub - we went to check it out
Brunch continues to be a Big Thing in London restaurants, so the arrival of a new all-day brunch spot should go down very well. Over Easy is from the same people behind Opium and Salvador and Amanda and is opening just around the corner from Selfridges. So it'll be a handy shopping retreat.
On that brunch-heavy menu will be:

This summer there's going to be meyhane in Marylebone. Nope that's not a typo. Apparently, a meyhane is a Turkish tavern - which is what Yosma, a new mangal and raki bar in Marylebone is basing itself on. And it's got some rather interesting folk involved.
Executive chef Hus Vedat is of Turkish heritage. He comes here via Barbecoa and the Caxton Grill and was in the launch team for Ceviche Old Street. His menu
A surprising number of you didn't actually twig that this was our April Fool this year. We've had people contacting us about PR, wondering about soft launch dates - you name it. So if anyone's looking for a new business idea, this one's free!
Here at Hot Dinners we've pretty much lost count of the press releases we've had in where a restaurant's menu promises to

The Harcourt from Andrew Endean (from Hotel du Vin and Malmaison) will be a new European restaurant with more than a nod towards Nordic Cuisine. And that's a nod to its past in the guise of the Harcourt Arms.
In the kitchen is head chef Kimmo Makkonen, who’s pulling together an all-day dining menu “with Scandinavian elements”. Some of those include Swedish afternoon “Fika” (coffee break) and more. Much of the

One of the best things about St Pancras station is definitely Sourced Market which has fuelled many of Hot Dinners' trips from that station. And now we hear that following a successful Crowdcube campaign, it's going to be opening two new shops in Marylebone and Victoria next year.

There's a new breakfast spot in town. Bernardi's in Marylebone has just launched their breakfast menu (and weekend brunch) and it does look rather enticing.
The brunch menu, which launched this weekend, features the now ubiquitous bottomless Prosecco and Bloody Marys (£16 per person) all day Saturday and Sunday. But what's new is the breakfast N’duja, egg & basil pizette (£8) and their Full Italian – a homemade veal, pork and chilli sausage
If you hadn't already made plans to hit Chiltern Firehouse between now and Christmas, then here's a solid reason why you should. Nuno Mendes has a sensational sounding new snack on the menu. Made from the same dough as his famous crab doughnuts, the braised short rib and truffle roasted buns go on the restaurant menu after Thanksgiving.
As Nuno explains; "The bun and its filling connects several cultures and is personally connected with my own voyage. Bun or Bao
The Ivy has had a pretty busy past year. Not only have they revamped their original restaurant to great acclaim, but they also opened the Ivy Market Grill and the Ivy Chelsea Garden. And now there's a third cafe on the way with the Ivy Cafe in Marylebone. It's notable that there's no specific area named in the restaurant title - so we would not be at all surprised to see a lot more of the cafés appear soon (although next
Marylebone continues to be a bit of a growth area for interesting new restaurants. And the latest we've heard about is Molé, a "boutique Mexican restaurant and taco bar" coming to Picton Place, right beside Selfridges. Run by the team behind nearby Cocochan the 50-seater restaurant is going to serve up modern Mexican/South American cooking (and cocktails).
80% of Molé’s menu will be gluten-free, including their tacos which they'll be making themselves from Masa
