• South Kensington is the latest stop for Cocotte's chicken

  

  They've already opened their rotisserie chicken restaurants in Notting Hill, Shoreditch, Parsons Green and Queen's Park and now the next Cocotte will be in South Kensington (where Squirrel used to be).

• Old Brompton and Nocturne sees Xavier Rousset bring a wine and cheese bar and a basement cocktail bar to South Kensington

  

  Coming to South Kensington is Nocturne, a new underground cocktail bar, underneath a restaurant whose own opening was a little below the radar. 

  The wine bar first. That's Old Brompton, a wine and cheese bar from Xavier Rousset (Cabotte, Black Book, Cafe Comptoir and more) and Steve Pineau and opened this April.

• Claude Bosi's Oyster Bar at Bibendum starts a weekend delivery menu

  

  We're still a little way off from London's Michelin-starred restaurants being reopened, but in South Kensington Claude Bosi isn't hanging around. While his two Michelin-starred restaurant upstairs in the Michelin building will have to wait - right now he's concentrating on the downstairs oyster bar.

  Polish restaurant Ognisko has put on a new vodka and caviar deal for the festive season. We went to get in the Christmas spirit.

  SW7 restaurant features Madrid chef Javier Rodrigo Alviz, opening at the Hotel London Kensington. At this new brasserie and bar in South Kensington, expect a fusion of Mediterranean and classic British cuisine.

• The Hunter's Moon is a brand new pub for South Kensington

  This new pub is the first for a new pub group. They've also brought in a Glasshouse/Chez Bruce vet to look after the menus in all their pubs and there's an ex The Coach chef in the kitchen.

• A new Chucs Cafe is coming to Kensington

  Chucs are back with a new restaurant. They're still running with a modern Mediterranean menu, but this time they're going for a more casual feel. 

• Remy Martin are opening a permanent bar at Bibendum with bar food by Claude Bosi

  Cocktails by Rémy Martin and bar food by Claude Bosi - sounds like a cocktail bar match made in heaven. Thankfully it's closer than that - taking over the downstairs bar space at Michelin House in South Ken.

• Claude Bosi unveils a new-look oyster bar at Bibendum

  

  Just over a year since he opened his restaurant at Bibendum, Claude Bosi has unveiled a new look Oyster Bar on the building's ground floor.

  The oyster bar was closed earlier this year for a bit of a do-over and the new design sounds tres chic. There's a six-seater oyster bar, as well as open kitchens and the ever-popular florist.

• Ceru Levantine restaurant goes permanent in South Kensington

  

  They've been popping up in  Fitzrovia, Tower Bridge and Cannon Street, but now Levantine restaurant Ceru is getting ready to settle down. • Le Cirque chef Raphael Francois returns to London to head up Launceston Place

  

  So this is interesting. Launceston Place has a hot new Chef Patron in the kitchen. When head chef Tim Allen left the restaurant last summer, we were wondering who would take over from him.
