  The next people to get into the food hall business are The YBF's. They're teaming up with Rhubarb for this huge new food and drink area inside the big 22 Bishopsgate development. 

• Sichuan House opens in Islington

  If you've been up and down Islington's Upper Street recently, you'll have seen a new addition (taking over the space only recently vacated by Porchetta). Called Sichuan House, that's exactly what it is - Sichuan cuisine in Islington. 

• Happy Lamb Hot Pot are opening their first UK restaurant in Bloomsbury

  Originating in Mongolia, the Happy Lamb Hot Pot company now has branches across America and Canada and they're now aiming their sights at the London restaurant scene.

• Alex Kratena and TÁ TÁ Eatery to open Tayer and Elementary on Old St

  When the bartender who ran the World's Best Bar for years prepares to open an all-day bar and restaurant in London with fellow top class mixologist Monica Berg, you better believe people are going to sit up and take notice. And when TÁ TÁ Eatery is in charge of the food? Lucky Old Street.

• Ooty Station is a casual Indian cafe in Marylebone

   

  Fine dining Indian restaurant Ooty opened on Baker Street back in February and now its sister site Ooty Station is opening up right next door. Compared to the more formal main restaurant, Ooty Station is a casual cafe and bar serving Indian-inspired bar snacks, mains, and cocktails.

• Squeg + Bonez to bring plant-based dishes and natural wines to Hackney

  Two friends, Holly and Alice, are behind the new launch, bringing with them experience at Cornerstone and in the coffee world at AllPress and Monmouth.

• Project TÓU is a katsu sando shop from TĀ TĀ Eatery

  TA TA Eatery are renowned for serving up the very best katsu sandos in town. And now they're opening London's first katsu sando shop - which will also be open for late night snacks.

• Inside Prada's glossy new London bakery Marchesi 1824 in Mayfair

  

  It's been a go-to patisserie in Milan since the 19th century - it joined the Prada group in 2014 - and now Marchesi 1824 has opened its doors in London, on Mount Street to be exact. The new pastry shop will be open all day, serving Mayfair folk with top quality coffee and fine pastries, opening into the early evening for cocktails. Hot Dinners popped along for a look on the opening day - here's what we found:

• Rosa’s Thai Cafe founder to launch noodle bar Hoh Sek

  Opening in St Katherine Dock, Hoh Sek will have a menu of Chinese-influenced noodle dishes as well as an evening menu of seasonal mains.

• The Wine Parlour bottle shop and bar opens in Brixton Village

  

  Newly open in Brixton Village is The Wine Parlour - a second opening from the folks who also run a bar of the same name on Atlantic Road. This new bottle shop hopes to introduce Brixton folk to interesting wines - either to take home or try there and then in the shop.

  Their focus will be on sustainable wines and lesser known grapes from small family-run vineyards - and if you're looking for craft beers and spirits they're also on sale too.

  Following up on their popular Soho restaurant, next for Corazon is a taco bar in Westfield London. They'll have some new tacos - as well as plenty of margaritas. 

• Nutshell will see an ex-Palomar chef serving up Iranian food in Covent Garden

  Ex Palomar chef Jeremy Borrow heads up the kitchen at this restaurant in Covent Garden where he'll be exploring all forms of Iranian cuisine.

  The family restaurant group who have Mr Bao in Peckham and Daddy Bao in Tooting are expanding, bringing their baos to shoppers at Westfield London.

• MEATliquor W1 is opening in Oxford Circus - with a Poke for Jager button

  The original MEATliquor relocates to a brand new - and much more permanent - site just 500 metres away from where they first started.
