Two months after closing for a major refurbishment to coincide with the restaurant's 10th birthday, Hélène Darroze at The Connaught has now reopened with quite the new look.

Hot Dinners popped down for a preview dinner at the weekend to check out the work of Parisian design team Pierre Yovanovitch Architecture d’Intérieur and to try out Helene's new menu for the restaurant.

Following the death of Joël Robuchon last year, his famed London restaurant L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon also shut its doors this year. At the time, however, there was talk that the restaurant would appear in another guise in Mayfair, and that's definitely the case - but it appears that it's launching with two distinct parts.

Londoners looking for a brunch with a bit of a kick should head on over to Ella Canta on Park Lane where top chef Martha Ortiz has created a menu that takes you on a taste tour of Mexico. And if the dishes here don't seal the deal, then knowing you'll get bottomless margaritas or sparkling wine* to pep up your brunch plans surely will.

Best known for his Michelin-starred Trinity in Clapham, Adam Byatt is taking on the food at classic hotel Brown's in Mayfair with Charlie's. There will be some trolley action too. 

Already one of the more famous vegans, Lewis Hamilton is now opening his very own plant-based burger restaurant, Neat Burger, just off Regent Street. 

The first residency to take over the old Magpie space at 10 Heddon Street is by the former head chef of Kitty Fisher's and the owner of Smokestak. A match made in heaven? We went to find out.

Already one of London's very few two-Michelin-starred restaurants, Helene Darroze's restaurant at the Connaught is about to get a big new refit. Coming a couple of years after The Connaught's last big change - launching Jean Georges' restaurant - this will see the restaurant close for two months for "full refurbishment and modernisation".

This Mayfair brasserie comes from the same people who are behind Park Chinois. Expect a classic European brasserie in plush settings.
