• Caravan teams up with cooks and writers for some rather special pastries

  

  What's better than a lovely, flakey pastry with a proper cup of coffee in the morning? Well how about one given a bit of a spin by three top food writers and cooks?

  That's the deal at Caravan Fitzrovia which has just kicked off a three month pastry push. Their first team-up is with blogger and cookbook author Ed Smith, aka Rocket & Squash whose Pain au ‘Nduja - a pain au chocolat made from ‘Nduja salami, honey, walnuts and sage - is now on sale.

• Ben Tish and The Stafford team up for Norma, a Sicilian restaurant in Fitzrovia

  Already working together on their hotel, Ben Tish (ex Salt Yard) and the Stafford Hotel are teaming up to create a new restaurant in Fitzrovia called Norma. Expect a Sicilian menu with Moorish influences.

  Former L'anima chef Lello Favuzzi has returned from his travels to bring a mixture of Italian and middle eastern inspiration to this Fitzrovia kitchen

• Bubbledogs gets a revamp with a bigger Champagne focus and new hotdogs

  

  Changes are on the way for Bubbledogs, the hot dog and Champagne bar in Fitzrovia by Sandia Chang (which also acts as a way into the 2-Michelin-starred Kitchen Table at the back). They're closing for a revamp and opening again with much more of a focus as a Champagne bar.

  And this change also means a much bigger focus on Grower Champagnes (they're the smaller producers in the Champagne region).

• Cutting Room in Fitzrovia is a mix of restaurant, bar and art gallery

  Cutting Room sees the food and art world getting closer together. They'll be showcasing different artists monthly - alongside a restaurant and bar that's serving food cooked over charcoal and cocktails served in medicine bottles.
