Arjun Waney, one of the people behind Zuma, ihas opened this Peruvian restaurant in Piccadilly, with influences from all over South America. It's a more high-end affair that recent Peruvian restaurants with a private members' bar, dining area and terrace. The downstairs restaurant and bar is open to everyone and is run by Sanjay Dwivedi, formerly at Le Caprice and The Ivy and who has been spending time in the kitchens of Lima such as Cala, Astrid and Gaston. Expect plenty of ceviches and tiraditos and anticuchos or grilled skewered meat, including ox heart with parsley and ají rocoto, and parrillada dishes such as pechuga de pato – duck breast with lúcuma, soya sauce and coriander shoots.

Granary Building, 1 Granary Square, London N1C 4AA

The original opened up in Exmouth Market to great reviews and they haven't looked back since. Now in multiple locations across town, this was Caravan's second opening, and one of the first places to open on Granary Square. Coffee remains a big thing, supplied by their nearby roastery. Food-wise, they serve what they call a "food well-travelled" menu all-day and their brunch is one of the most popular in town.

Tonkotsu

The owners of Tsuru sushi have opened the doors on their new ramen bar in Soho. There will be three ramen dishes on offer: London Ramen, Tonkotsu Ramen and Tokyo Spicy which has shredded pork and their home-made chilli oil. In addition to the ramen, there'll also be fresh, hand-made gyoza (dumplings) and a crab cream korokke (Japanese croquettes).

The Malt House

Claude Bosi and his brother already have a pub in Wimbledon (the Fox and Grapes) and now they've opened their second in Fulham. This time, they'll be aiming for "modern British pub food" but Fulhamites can expect a stamp of quality as Bosi has enlisted Marcus McGuinness, the former Head Chef of Hibiscus (Bosi's two Michelin starred restaurant in Mayfair), to take over the revamped pub.

This is the next from MEATliquor, the place that all other burger joints and dirty food providers look up to. This new location has taken over an old Christian mission - hence the name - and has put its stamp on the building with a spectacular stained glass roof. It'll also accept reservations, although the times are very limited (but there is no table turning). Expect burgers, wings, hot dogs and "trash plates".

This was the first Patty & Bun restaurant in London just off Oxford Street, where they started serving up their hugely popular burgers like the 'Ari Gold' cheeseburger and 'Jose jose' chilli burger.

The Factory House

The subterranean restaurant is an all-day affair and will "celebrate the age of modern industrialists". The food is overseen by Sean Davies, formerly Executive Chef at the Tate restaurants, and features seasonal British food, while wines and cocktails will be run by Fluid Movement, best known for Purl.

Just off Piccadilly Circus, swanning down the stairs here always feels special - don't leave without ordering the singular Îles flottantes.
