When a Michelin-starred chef takes on the food at a new London bistro, you better be sure we sit up and take notice. The Elizabeth has taken over from Ganyemede in Belgravia (just around the corner from Victoria station) and it's brought in none other than top chef Anthony Demetre of Wild Honey to bring his creative influences to the menu.
As their new Culinary Director, Demetre is returning to his bistronomy roots with The Elizabeth. Expect cooking that's rooted in British ingredients and French technique, with dishes like pheasant terrine and custard tart hallmarks of the chef's style.
Bistro classics will include duck, pork and guinea‑fowl terrine, Cornish sea bream with warm tomato and basil vinaigrette ‘Antiboise’ and strawberry panna cotta. And you can bet there'll be a cracking Sunday roast too.
The Elizabeth is at 139 Ebury St, London SW1W 9QU. Follow them on Instagram @theelizabethsw1
