For their latest opening, the team behind Spanish restaurant Camino have launched something brand new in Covent Garden's market. Pintxito is a Basque-inspired pintxo bar.
Inspired by the kind of bars you'll find in Bilbao and San Sebastián, you'll find a buzzing bar atmosphere with the bar at Pintxito laden with pintxos (Basque-style tapas). Everything is freshly prepared on site, with classics like gilda and jamón on show, as well as twists on classics like their chorizo talos (chorizo in corn tortillas). You'll also find crispy potato bravas, confit sweet red peppers in garlic, slices of tortilla and scarlet carabinero prawns served with white crab and garlic oil. And that's just a small taste of the Basque delights on offer.
On top of the pintxos, you'll also find a wine list of Spanish wines led by a selection of the wines the region is best known for, Txakoli. That's poured from a height to help give off a little effervescence, not to mention a lot of theatre.
It's the perfect spot in the Covent Garden Market, whether you're stopping by for a quick glass of wine and a couple of pintxos, or settling in for some proper Basque hospitality. And we've teamed up with them to give Hot Dinners readers a special introductory offer.
